Rangers Lose To Capitals 4-1 To End Playoff Series

On Saturday the 23rd the Washington Capitals eliminated the New York Rangers from the 2011 stanley cup playoffs. The Capitals had 1 goal in the first period by Mike Green, Then in the 2nd period the Capitals got a great shot from superstar Alex Ovechkin. 2-0 Capitals. In the 3rd period  Alexander Semin made it 3-0. Not so long after that Wojtek Wolski, A Ranger made it 3-1, Witch ended up as the final score. There were 13 penalties in The game. 9 By the Rangers, Including a 10 minute misconduct by Sean Avery and only 4 by the Capitals. The Rangers and Capitals both recieved amazing goaltending. The Rangers by Henrik Lundqvist and the Capitals by Michal Neuvirth. After the game capital coach Bruce Boudreau said “We’ve never done it before. It is one of those things where I’ll have to give my head a shake tomorrow morning and wonder where we’re supposed to be playing,” Boudreau said. “It is good because we have a lot of guys hurt, so you need the time off just to recuperate. That was a really tough series. It was done in five, but I think John (Tortorella) would say the same thing that either team could have won all five games.”
