On June 24th 2011, at about 5pm True North Sports and Entertainment announced the name of their new hockey team (The ex Atlanta Thrasher’s) are now the Winnipeg Jets. They decided instead of using the old Jets logo, To create a new, colorful Jets logo. The Jets were started in 1972-1996. Then they became the Phoenix Coyotes, The minor league jets team, also called the Jets became the Thrasher’s. They are now the Jets for the 2011-2012 season.
